Ronni Rothman, CNM

Ronni became a Nurse Midwife because it provides the opportunity to do the things she loves most: supporting, teaching, and empowering women to make positive choices in their lives. She has over 30 years of experience attending over 3000 births.  Both of Ronni’s sons were born into the hands of a midwife in Philadelphia.

Ronni has a BA in Sociology from Brandeis University, and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Michigan. After working in public policy and international settings on behalf of women and women’s health, she went back to school to receive her BS in Nursing and an MSN in Nurse-Midwifery at the University of Pennsylvania. She has owned WomanWise since 2006.

Megan Donaghy, CNM

Megan’s interest in pregnancy and birth started as a young child and seeing the birth of her brother when she was 11 helped to clarify what she wanted to do in life. She received her BSN from University of Pittsburgh and while working as a maternity nurse got Masters of Nursing in Midwifery at the University of Pennsylvania in 2007. After working as a staff midwife in the UPenn health system for 10 years, she followed her passion to a position at Doctors Without Borders. This difficult yet rewarding work brought her to Tanzania, South Sudan and Bangladesh, where she provided obstetrical care for refugees and internally displaced populations. All of these experiences has expanded her passion toward advocacy & social justice in healthcare, and helping all people navigate our complicated system through education, empowerment & informed decision making. She has been working along side Ronni & Emma at Einstein Montgomery for the past few years as a hospitalist midwife, and is delighted to join the WomanWise team.

Emma Furino, CNM

Emma's care emphasizes "Cura Personalis" or care of the whole person. She became a CNM because it allows her to support, collaborate with, and empower her clients to reach their healthiest potential — during their childbearing years and throughout their lifespan. Through this, she places emphasis not just on the physical needs of women, but on those that make her a whole person — her mind, spirit and family.

Emma earned her BSN from Georgetown University and spent 8 years as a NICU nurse at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Emma returned to Georgetown University for her Master’s degree where she obtained a dual certification in Nurse-Midwifery and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Emma, herself, was born into the hands of a midwife and is thrilled to be on the other side welcoming new little ones into the world.

Dena Sborlini, CMA

Dena’s well earned job title is Administrative Goddess. She is the face behind our phones and emails.

Dena has been a CMA since 2010 and has experience working in pediatrics and family medicine as well as OB/GYN. When given the opportunity to work for a midwifery group in a nontraditional office setting, she jumped at the chance to have more meaningful interactions with clients. .

When Dena is not in the office, she is mothering her 3 children and a black lab. You can find her at Wildwood in the summer and at a local Starbucks most mornings.
